What is Silent Mode in Avast Antivirus?
| October 8, 2023Avast is a well-known brand of computer security software. It is known for its superior detection rates and, in independent tests, it has been ranked among the top anti-malware programs. The company was established in 1988 and has been around since then. It provides a variety of antivirus software and other tools for protecting your computer.
Avast’s most recent version comes with a feature called Do Not Disturb Mode. This feature shuts down notifications when you are running applications in full-screen mode. Do Not Disturb Mode settings are found in the Performance tab of the Avast main window. It can be turned on or off by clicking the boxes.
When Do Not Disturb Mode is activated All Windows and Avast notifications will be blocked when you’re using any application on full screen. Any new app you open in full screen will be added to the list of applications to block notifications for. You can also turn on Do Not Disturb Mode to only block notifications from applications you choose.
This is a great feature for coders and hackers who work in a digital setting as it allows them to focus on their work without being distracted by notifications from Avast or other applications. This also lets them verify quarantined data without being interrupted by a pop-up alert or pop-up. Click the Gaming icon in the plan tray to enable the Do Not disturb Mode feature. You can also manually enter the mode by clicking the “Silent/Gaming Mode’ button in the main Avast window.
